Two things:

Firstly, the assumption that women only pursue mates who are “successful”. That isn’t true. How many women out there have worked a service job to help their husband go to school, putting off their own schooling? How many women out there have married a man who was unemployed. How many women out there have been with a man who struggled with mental illness, addiction? How many women out there are married to “average men” making an average living?

Secondly…

Maybe they’d date you if you had a character worth experiencing. 

I can’t say. I’m not female, but since I read one page and wanted to skin you alive, I’m going to say you ought to give strong consideration to the second point.
